wine / vineyard clubs are the way to go
04-6 shipments per year at $50-65 per shipment, and you can add to your order with a typical 25% discount on whatever you order, and you get wine that’s not available anywhere else. I joined at Dry Creek, Peju, Sequoia Grove, Merryvale, Benziger, and Jacuzzi.
The view from our house at Benziger:
the 4 of us shipped home a total of 9 cases of hand selected wines. We rule.
I get Sequoia Grove, Seghesio, and Schramsberg. Plus you get access to special events, releases, etc.
Sequoia Grove is awesome. Dry Creek Zins are :yum too.
I wish wine didn’t make me sick. Seems like something I’d like to collect.
they are sold out of the old vine zin…and I have 6 bottles to put up. lol I’m getting a ton of shit this month, and excited about it. Now I just need someone to drink it with since the girl is out of town for a couple months.
Use to get some wine in a club. Found that I preferred picking my own stuff when I make it out to CA every couple months.

I’m not a big wine fan but live within 20 miles of 7 wineries, a meadery, and a distillery.

isn’t it a little cold for grapes in VA?
They do pretty well and there are lots of vineyards around so I assume it’s not.
yeah, but there was also like 14 vineyards in fucking Albuquerque, and the wine was pretty fucking unspectacular. It was a waste of cash. I know the dirt is better in VA, but I doubt the fruit structure would be worth a shit with your weather.
If they can make award winning wine in Niagara, they can make decent wine in VA
