Talk Radio?
Any talk radio recommendations? I’m looking for high caliber talk radio, I am not interested in shows where people call in to voice their opinions. I’m mostly into in depth discussions about spirituality, politics, health, and relationships (but not into the “advice” style shows). An example of all the above is a podcast I’m really into called . Any suggestions appreciated!

This american life is good. I download them as podcasts. I like the leonard lopate (sp?) Show and all things considered as well.

I love This American Life. That’s exactly the kind of stuff I’m looking for. I never heard the Leonard Lopate show. The news programming on NPR has seriously degraded IMO - the only thing I listen to anymore is the entertainment segments. I think I’d like to find local/obscure shows, things like The Joan Kenley Show that are in depth, but not necessarily nationally known (I think of this as a Bay Area phenomenon, even though it’s podcast now the show used to play on a local radio station).
Fresh Air, Le Show with Harry Shearer, Car Talk, and Forum are all good. They are mainly NPR stuff, but thats all we get in Austin.
Michael Savage runs a pretty good show. He is hard core right wing but a lot of the time he gets away from politics and just talks about life in general. He is probably one of the few talk radio hosts that I still respect.
2nded…and he doesnt care if he pisses people off either
That sounds like the opposite of Joan Kenley but it might be interesting to have viewpoints on both sides. I hate it when talk show hosts bring in politics where they don’t belong.

yeah, the only newsy type show i listen to on NPR is Marketplace. i think that’s a very well done show, but it stinks that it is only 30min.
