I’m sure anybody who has a cat knows that they can be ridiculously picky about the toys they like — buy them a $5 toy from PetSmart and they play with the plastic wrapper, and so on. I’ve found one toy, though, that has never failed to keep my kitties amused, and you can make it yourself.

Take two pre-made gift bows, peel off the wax paper covering the sticky pads, and stick them together. Crinkle it a little bit to get your cat’s attention, then chuck it down the hall. My cats go absolutely fucking berserk over these things, and they cost me maybe 25c apiece. Strangely, the pre-made crinkly balls don’t do a thing for them; I think it’s because the gift bows I use have loops of material, which gives them something to hook a claw into and send it flying in unpredictable directions.

If you have any other foolproof cat toys, post them below.
best kittah toy ever is a laser pointer
mine also like rubber bands (only use thick ones otherwise they’ll just eat them) and balled up aluminum foil
My cats could care less about laser pointers. They want something they can bite — which probably also rules out aluminum foil, though I hadn’t thought to try that one.
My cat eats plastic bags, hair bands, stringy things hanging off of clothes, and if you don’t feed him dinner, cardboard.

I think that a bow toy would last a total of 2 minutes before it was in his digestive tract. He has one of those stringy things with feathers tied on the end of a stick with a string that he loves though.
Mine has always liked his little toy mice that he carries around all over the place. He likes twisties and rubber bands too.
The plastic tear off thing from milk bottles. Keeps him occupied for hours. Then he loses it under the couch.

Time to give that kitty some jerky. The teriyaki flavor is usually a safe bet; it has less salt and isn’t spicy.

Of course, your cat might not like human food like mine do, I dunno. My cats eat cheese, cookies, popcorn, cheesy poofs, etc. Like, if I leave a bag open, I can pretty much expect to walk back into the room ten minutes later and see them crunching away on my snacks. And if I have chicken wings, I can’t keep them off the table until I give them one apiece, and they’ll eat everything, bones included.
I tried giving him a piece of raw pork today thinking that he’d enjoy it. He looked at it, looked at me, smelled it, licked it, looked back at me, and walked away. He’s a strange animal.
get these

10 flightless birds, 3 cats and a pitbull.
Not a monkey swordfight, but close.
My cat went NUTS one time when I took a rabbit foot and attached a few feathers to the end connected by pipecleaner. I had it in my room when I went to sleep that night and the cat would not leave me alone. Then i finally threw it out for the cat and it ran all over the house with it all night. it was nuts.

Cats tolerate it a lot better than humans. Keep in mind everything they eat in nature is raw. Just because we don’t have an immunity to salmonella anymore, that doesn’t mean they don’t have one.

You gotta really watch and make sure they don’t swallow this though.
So I noticed today, I can be hanging out with my cat, and even bothering him for his attention, and he won’t want anything to do with me(sometimes). Or he can be sleeping on his pillow in the middle of the living room, ignoring me. As soon as I walk up to my fish tank and start paying attention to the fish, he’s standing on his hind legs, and holding onto me with his front paws to get my attention. It’s hilarious, it’s as though he knows they’re my other pet and wants me to pay attention to him instead of them.
Heh. Cats. Dunno how people end up with dogs instead. Must be a behavioral disorder.
my kittah’s favorite toys are the cardboard strips that are pulled off of fedex envelopes. said toy has become known as "stick", and kittah will run from any corner of the house at any given time if you call out "stick".
milk twisties
twist ties that come on electronics
zip-ties either tied in a loop or straight
the rabbit fur mice with the beads inside are the number one favorite
one of my cats got a hold of my kids rabbits foot and its half munched…eek
they also love those mini wiffle balls.

one cat apparently loves cotton balls. Somehow the cat….don’t know which one….got a hold of a bunch of em. Every morning I’d get up and come down stairs and there’d be cotton balls scattered mysteriously on top of my fish tank canopy. I’d clean em off…throw em away and the next morning there’d be even more up there. Wish I could have caught the culprit on video….I’m sure it would have been funny to watch.

Here are my friends.

I like Audrey. She’s cute. I’m guessing she’s only a year or two old?

Audrey also likes when you drop a dry spaghetti noodle on the ground….she’ll nab it and run away with it before you can catch her. Its funny.
my kitteh ran away.

but she always liked playing with my sock or battin at the paper as it came out of the printer.
Everything I do has been said already, but my cats (now just one cat ) loved cheese. They’d go more crazy over a bag of taco cheese than catnip.
My previous cat got hit by a car. Right in the middle of summer too, while hunting rabbits every day. One day I was carrying out one of many, many lucky rabbits’ feet he’d left for me, the next I was hearing from neighbors that he’d been hit in the road in the middle of the night. Never even saw the body.
the cats like to take my kiddos toys… the little peices that prob should not be in a package…. well they meow for a few mins then come running down the stairs with fake mini swords and stuff… they then look at us like they have done something really awsome.

I am a huge consumer of dried beans…

I make soups, casseroles, baked and refried recipes… but say for texture… does one common bean really taste any better than another?

I use navy, northern, or black-eyed interchangeably… does anyone detect a difference?
They definitely taste different once they’re reconstituted. I like Northern beans in soups, black-eyed peas with pork, and black + pinto with anything resembling Mexican food.

Probably Northern beans are the least grainy when not fully rehydrated.

One of my favorite dishes is 15 bean and ham soup-a perfect winter rib-stickin meal that makes the kitchen smell good, too.

Black beans are a close second.
15 bean and ham is awfully good. Takes hours to make, though.

I am on Spring Break this week. Tuesday all the mommy’s and daddy’s came to pick the youngsters up, my name for my dorm mates. I was more uncertain to go. The others go home to see their families, or off to the airport to somewhere warm. I have to throw all my clothes in garbage bags, put it in the car, drive a mile down the road and then yank them all out of the car. Spring Break is annoying. I hate packing, my dorms close every break and I’m not allowed in them so I stay with a friend.

Why not go home too? Because I work for an evil retail giant. Why the fuck don’t you have anymore jelly beans last minute shoppers. Then take the blame that even though the Easter stuff has been up for weeks it is my fault you had to wait to the day before the shop for it.

I have had a lot of thinking of what to do this summer and next semester. My large tonsils and I could go home this summer. I don’t really like staying with my father but it’s pretty cheap living and I can work full time at the Amsterdam Wal-Mart and save money. Or I could stay in Oneonta and work for Wal-Mart and get an apartment. But I owe a lot of money to the hospital and the Oneonta Wal-Mart is less likely give me time off to get my tonsils out (if I can get them out this summer like I want.) I could work for Office Max, but even if I do get that job I will turn it down because I am not working for minimum wage. So I’m probably going to go home, get Medicaid, or pay $300 to my father a month for health insurance, and hopefully get my tonsils cut out.

Next semester I know I am not coming back to SUNY Oneonta (SUCO.) SUCO isn’t that bad, I do not like my major though. The Computer Arts program and I are not getting along. I feel like I know everything and no one believes me. But tha’s a whole other topic. So I’m going to transfer to SUNY Delhi.

I found out today Dee got an interview at this one place. She only filled out like 6 applications. I don’t know what I’m going wrong. She has never had a job before in her life; I have more work experience than her. The only think I can think of is because she’s 18 maybe. Maybe after I turn 18 someone will hire me.

I told Doug to send me an application from the Hannaford be works at in Guilderland. I bet him $20 I wont get a call.

Well I applied to BK, Hollywood Video, Blockbuster Video, and Dunking Doughnuts all in Amsterdam. I applied to 23 places now. I would want to work a Hollywood Video most; it’s nice in there, then Blockbuster, then Dunking Doughnuts. Last would be BK because I really don’t want to work there. But I probably wont get the Hollywood Video or Blockbuster job, if any it would be BK, maybe Dunking Doughnuts.

I was telling Dee about the big bunny I got from Doug for Easter, I love rubbing Doug in her face sometimes J, and she like ?Eric doesn’t celebrate Easter.? Haha what religion doesn’t celebrate Easter, I thought everyone does.

Exactly one more month till Prom.

I gums hurt. I have 2 canker sores in my mouth. I had one last week and now I have two more and I don’t know where they?re coming from. I’ve been putting Oraljel on them so it doesn’t hurt as much. It might be my retainers rubbing too because there not on the inner lip, there on my gum below my teeth.

I got asked to go in someone?s limo today for Prom. She said it was only like $40 per person, which is cheap but I don’t think we will go. Dee asked us to go in there limo for free but I’m not sure about that ether. I’m just afraid they’ll want to go somewhere with the limo and we will be suck without a ride or will be suck at Eric’s apartment with them fucking or something. I don’t think there going to the post prom party though. Plus we have to be at Raindancer at 5:30 so I’m not sure if well ride with them. But then again it?s free. Doug found 3 people to ride in our limo for Guilderland with us; we need one more person now (6 passenger). We might go to Great Escape the day after his prom though. I’ll probably get a season pass this year again.

Oh I got one of those stick on back-less bras this weekend for my one dresses because it is open in the back. I also got a shawl that matches almost perfectly to my pink dress and a tiara.

I went to Doug’s school yesterday. The whole school is one big circle, there?s never an end to the hallways. They just continue forever. I can’t even tell what side of the building I?m on. I look out the window and all I see is another side of the school. The classes are so long though, there like 1:30 long. I told him I would bring him to BP some day he didn’t have school.

Doug got me a basket of candy in little plastic eggs and a BIG 3 or 4 foot bunny, which I?m not sure where to put right now. I got him a watch and some peeps for Easter. His mommy got us a box of the 40 flavored Jelly Belly jellybeans. She also brought back a turtle that have a magnetic belly and arms/legs and a key chain with the letter “S” on it from Las Vegas. Doug felt bad for forgetting to tell me to bring down something nice to wear for church on Sunday so he bought me a tee shirt at Bobs. Sammy sent me 6 packs of crispy M&M and a stuff chicken that?s legs and wings move! Thank you Sammy. Sammy lives in NH. My mom also sent me $20 and 3 rings.

I got a 93 on my English presentation.

Dee has this huge red mark around her lips. She says its because she has sensitive skin and Eric’s beard makes it turn red. Well I heard today I guess it was because of her giving head to Eric with a condom on. I guess its something about you can get pregnant by giving head or something. Untrue, 1. the month doesn’t lead in anyway to the egg 2. they cant swim that far before they die 3. the stomach acid will kill them. Still believes I got drunk at that party, she’s telling people now. Great.

Well Doug came up Saturday. I took him to go see ET. He was more excited than any kid in that theater J. I had a bottle of Pepsi and a half bag of the family size crispy M&M??™s so I was really hyper afterwards. Then I brought him to Pebbles to look for pants.

I couldn??™t find Micki??™s house because I brought the invitation with the address on it in the car to the movies, my dad brought it back in the house with the mail after he dropped us off at the movies. So we had to find it trying to remember the number. Also it was at 7 at night and it was too dark to see the numbers anyways. We finally did find it. There weren??™t as many people as I expected to be there. A lot more were invited. Doug was a little drunk. Dee and Eric were there, actually I thought she was going to be a no-show due to her fear of drugs, don??™t ask. Micki??™s boyfriend Lefty striped and Micki ran out of the bedroom only wearing a bed sheet, we all know what they were doing in there J. Lefty was talking about vampires and blood brothers with Doug. He wanted to give Doug a necklace that gave him the power to left up cars and he telepathic with him. I think Lefty was just a little drunk J.

Well Dee and Eric only stayed for like an hour. It was pretty pathetic though. They just sat there in the chair for most of the time. I don??™t want to sound excessively defensive like but I remember one part of the night when Doug and I were sitting on the couch and Doug was sitting normally and I was sitting toward him with my legs around him. A few minutes later I heard ???I want to sit like this??? from her, which happened to be the way Doug and I were sitting. I didn??™t really think much of it at the time but the whole time with them seemed like a show of some sort. Other things that got me was like when Doug and I were the floor doing stretches (butterfly, bridge, split, etc., I don??™t know the actual name for it), I was doing one and she says, ???I can do that.??? I ignored her but I believe she is trying to like show-off Eric in some way or another. It??™s really ridicules and I??™m not the only one noticed it, Doug did too, so I??™m not going insane. It??™s hard to explain.

We went to Ellie??™s today. She got me a soft teddy bear that says ???sweet dreams??? on it and some candy for Easter. Doug also got candy.

I guess it was Eric??™s Birthday yesterday, Dee didn??™t buy him anything, just made him a cake. Cakes don??™t last forever. I guess he turned 20; BP doesn??™t let anyone over 19 to go to there dances. But she will probably get away with it bringing him the Prom anyways.

Speaking of Prom, I have to go get the rest of my stuff for Prom soon and take Doug to get fitted for his Tuxes. I only bought the dress and shoes so far and I only have like a month left.

I got to keep Doug??™s sweater for the week. I see him again Saturday or Sunday because I am going to school with him next Monday.

If you have a sore throat for over 24 hours, you are sick.

Still no calls but I did get a letter from Hannaford in Gloversville say they had no openings. Only thing is they still have their sign out front saying they??™re hiring :/. Well I got applications to Pizza Hut, BK, Crossroads Restaurant, Friendly, Eckerd, and Johnstown Movie Plex today though.

Doug is coming up Saturday morning. If ET is playing we are going to watch that then go to Micki’s party. Sunday we are going to Ellie’s house for Easter dinner.

I was talking with Evan the other day and he asks me if I want to go to the movie with him Friday. He is cool to hang out with as a friend but most chances he just wants sex so I said maybe. So I asked him if he was going to Micki’s party then he asks me if I want to be his date to it. I was like no I’m already going with someone. He asked me who and then left. So I know what he wants from me.

We had a two-hour delay Monday and we got out two hours early yesterday due to snow. We have about a foot of it now. It’s spring and we have more now then we did all winter.

I’m sleeping too much now. I sleep like 2 hours every day I come home plus at night. So now I??™m really awake. Did you know u will die faster if you sleep 7-8 hours a day rather than 6.

OMG I was looking in the newspaper for jobs and I seen that C&R was hiring for hostess and waiters.

I ate almost a whole box of pudding today (the Jell-O kind where you add 2 cups of milk and mix). I didn’t have lunch or breakfast so I was just a tad hungry when I got home.
