Spring loaded latch – where can I find it?
0OK, I need a two piece surface mounted latch that can click into place by spring and spring loaded release by the same means.
something that looks like this
main difference being that a spring would force the latch to shut when brought together and could release by spring would pushed in. obviously the latch would not fit into a groove either but rather a slight curve that it could hook onto but also slide out of.
so where can i get this in a hardware store or what can i ask for? i looked around all over but i couldnt find anything or i wasnt looking in the right department. im a complete home improvement/construction noob…
hell maybe not even a spring, maybe a plastic tab that can click into place and push down to release…just something that does a similar function
