redoing my bedroom need help

Its been a ruff year last year and I helped my family out a lot and got thrown into debt in the process. As a result to show their appreciation my family is paying for me to redo my bedroom. Im going to paint the room a dark red and either paint the roof the same color or paint the roof black. I have a full sized bed and im going to put it against the wall side ways instead of the traditional way to make more walking room.

Now where im stuck is what the heck do I do with the wall where my bed is. I just have this big empty wall. I was thinking of putting up some floating shelves but it would still leave alot of empty room. Got any idea?

are you going to put the bed in the center of the wall or more towards one side or the other? you could always put a large framed print or painting over the bed. since it sounds like your ceiling and walls are going to be very dark, you might want to go with something lighter to break it up a bit.
i want to stay away from the whole big painting or clock type thing because its been done to death. It will be in the center sort of like a day bed set up. I want something in the middle that matches with the darker theme but is a little bit different then the traditional set ups
