Recessed lighting still cool?
Are recessed lighting still "cool/modern"? I got a bunch of random lighting all over the house and thinking about adding some uniform recessed lighting in the Living Room/Family Room and Hallways.
Any other good alternatives?
Also the bedrooms have these ugly old school ceiling fans, should I replace with new ceiling fans or just do away with the fans?
do away with fans, but it depends… vaulted ceiling? how high is the ceiling? It looks absolutely ridiculous when people put ceiling fans on 8-foot ceilings.
yes, recessed lighting looks really dope, but should not be considered as the main lighting source… only for accent/scene lighting

It is 8 foot ceilings and they installed the damn units with a 6inch extension too, trying to get the fan closer to themselves I guess.
I am thinking of using the recessed lighting as the main lighting source but don’t want a "runway" effect either. The ceilings are all 8 and some of the rooms are very large so 1 fixture in the middle will look awkward too.
