? on installation for Dishwasher and Fridge
Is is doable to install the water pipe lines for dishwasher, and the fridge (water/ice dispenser )solo without hiring someone else to do it?
thats like me asking you if I could perform open heart surgery without knowing anything about me, If you have some plumbing skills its not impossible, I will say its important how you hook up the drain for the dishwasher in regards to height and distance.
If you’re just talking about going from the wall spigot to the fridge with a little bitty icemaker line, you will have no problems. Just make sure to bleed about 5 gallons out of the wall before you hook up to it if it’s new construction.
As for dishwasher lines, it’s easy IF you have nothing complicated going on in your kitchen. Most people have a dishwasher right next to their sink so that the dishwasher waste line connects right into the sink’s waste pipe. If you have a garbage disposal, your local code may require an air gap on the line. Even if it doesn’t, you have other things to consider to keep your dishwasher from backflowing into your sink.
