What is buzzing the loudest?
you mean from the breaker box? it shouldn’t be buzzing that bad but the best i can come up with is to build an insulated cabinet around it, with doors so you still have access.
How old is this place?
For there to be buzzing, its either old or its a higher voltage..
It is a relatively old house
i’d say 40-50 years +
the buzzing is a constant low buzz coming from the breaker box
I mean I am sure I would get used to it but it is annoying.
what can I do? insulated cabinet? what about some dampening material? if so where can I get that kinda stuff?
I am a total newby at this haha
It sounds like one or more of the individual circuit breakers could be overloaded or wearing out.
For $50-$75 you should have a licensed master electrician check it out.
Not really a DIY job for a first timer.
