Need suggestions on Jim Walker type homes
I’ve got a piece of land (5 acres or so) that is being given to me. It already has electrical, plumbing, etc on it. Uncle used to live there in a trailer. I’m thinking of having someone come out and remove the trailer, and build a 3 or 4 bedroom home there.
Obviously, Jim Walker is just one company. Any others (that are reputable)?

I think its Jim Walter… We had one built on a past hunting lease in South Texas… Decent build quality, seemed relatively efficient, and the floorplan was well thought out. Ours was essentially on pier & beam instead of a slab which made walking pretty loud (just a subfloor + tile). From what I got out of the "ordering process" you can build it up as nice as you want it and they can even just deliver you a shell for you to finish yourself. I’d say they are quite the step above the mobile home, but don’t expect custom builder quality. Every finish in ours was builder grade (pre-fab cabinets, shelving, bathrooms, etc), but then again it was a hunting lodge.
yeah, it was jim walter. I’ve found some by Tony Houseman… but the website sucks…. It only lists about 6 sample floor plans with no real pics.
found this one off of Tony Houseman, kinda dig it. Any other national companies that do this sort of thing?
