Lawn Crew v.Repair lawn

Since spring is approaching and we’ll be doing work to the outside of our house and in the yard this year, I want to get the lawn looking good.

Here’s what pretty much most of the back yard looks like:

What do you lawn experts reccommend to get this looking good again.

I have two dogs that like to play in the yard, so that’s probably a fair amount of the damage right there.

Im not expert, but id think something to the effect of a aeration, top coating of fish compost, or high quality top soil, then a reseed?

or just lay it over with new soil and resod
alot of times its the acid in dogs urine that causes dead patches. You should be able to resoil and seed.
yeah that looks like youre going to have to either resoil the whole thing or turn it and reseed the shit out of it. itll be hard with dogs and such. good luck, keep us updated
you need to aerate that shit, add some grass seed. im betting that is in an area that doesnt get much sun too
You’re doing better than me. I’ve got bare red clay in a lot of my back yard.
Aerate it for sure, then apply turf builder, then seed, then starter fertilizer. Depending where you live it may be too early now to do it. Temps should be around 65 for the grass to grow.
