Homebrew help needed! v.airlock
0 My airlock (regular 3 piece bubbler) is a bit too small to fit tightly in the lid of my fermenter. Any ideas? How big of a problem will it be if it isn’t air tight?
If it isn’t air tight you risk oxidation/infection.
Do you have aluminum foil? You can use that to make it air tight.
I think I have a roll somewhere. I really want to start brewing tonight ( I already sanitized all my gear) but I may run to my homebrew store tomorrow and see if I’m missing a piece that keeps the bubbler air tight. It fits fine in the stopper for my carboy, but it just sits loose in my damn primary fermenter lid
Not sure how your lid is cut but they make stoppers for lids too. They are very small.
