Home Warranty
FYI,
if You have or know someone who uses UA DURR home warranty company let them know to get a home warranty elsewhere since UA durr has dropped off the face of the planet and went bankrupt lol.
on top of that, i have done some easier carpentry work around the house, i can install new windows doors hang drywall lay tile etc, but have never done any plumbing, just had a drain pipe from my garage burst in a crawl space, replacing a pipe seems like it would be simple enough, am i wrong or are there any hidden things i need to know about?
dont the builders offer the warranty on the house? people get warranties for older houses they purchase? i dont know anything about home warranties
yeah you can buy warranties for older houses as well, i’ve had home warranties for years and have came out ahead over the years. unfortunately now that i have a plumbing issue my home warranty company has went out of business and disappeared lol, i guess i can join the class action law suit but i’m sure that’ll get me nothing.
we got a home warranty with this house. helped when the washer took a shit in the first week and the main panel of the oven took a shit the next month
yeah 1st year i had my furnace go out
3rd year i had a roof leak, and hot water heater, and buildt in microwave go out. 4th year no probs 5th year i have a plumbing problem and the damn warranty company went bankrupt and the customers didn’t even get a notice lol, so i’m having to bite the bullet on this one and just got another home warranty thru a larger company
just like any other insurance or warranty, sometimes it seems like a waste of money if there aren’t any issues but if you run into a repair that costs some $$$ that premium gets paid back in a hurry.
