getting dried grout off of a tub
I redid my bathroom a few months ago and some grout got all over the tub…
I was never really bothered by it..but I want it up now…
any idea what I can use?
I heard acetone?
Grout is a cementitious product. Acetone is a solvent for plastics, epoxies, and other similar items, but not grout. You may be able to get it off of a porcelain finish or enameled steel, but I’m not optimistic. If your tub is acrylic or gel-coat fiberglass, you’re screwed.
Not to be a smartass, but it’s always better to tape off and protect than attempt to remove afterwards. Been there, done that, learned from it.
