Cheapest and best meal- help

Whats the best meal, which is a balanced one with all the required nutritional stuffs, which is cheap and which u can eat on a daily basis. Oh and which can last for 1 week.

Am in uni and am trying to save on money on eating - instead of eating mc dos everyday(or in any other fast food). I also suck at cooking.

Cheers.
Learning to cook is perhaps the most important skill anyone can learn. Don’t be afraid of it. The more you do it the better at it you will get. Here are a couple of suggestions and some general advice.

Tuna noodle casserole
Red beans and rice

Anything with meat in it spoils more quickly than all-vegetable foods
Take multivitamins
Don’t eat processed, packaged crap
Get a part-time job working in the kitchen of a restaurant

Go online to alibris.com or abebooks.com and get yourself a cheap, used copy of The Impoverished Students’ Book of Cookery, Drinkery, & House Keepery by Jay F. Rosenberg.

Or go to the library and pick up a couple of basic cook books.

Try not to buy cheap, lightweight, aluminum pots and pans. Instead, go to a thrift store or look in the Pennysaver or Craigslist or whatever and find some good, used cookware that will last a lifetime.

Finally, find a good online forum and ask questions.

Cheers!

buy a crock pot- roasts are generally cheaper cuts of meat, and u can do tons with the leftovers. also easy cooking!
Chick pea paste

I discovered this after a failed attempt at making falafel
soak some chick peas over night, and then cook them for an hour. cool them down
add spices as desired (onion, salt, pepper, cumin), and mash it all up with some flour
make ‘patties’ out of it, and fry it up with a little bit of olive oil
