I’ve looked online for a good kalbi recipe, but came across so many that I wasn’t sure which to go for. Typical info overload. It is one of my favorite dishes, but so far have been limited to getting it at a restaurant which tends to be pretty expensive.
Anyway, if someone could either type up a recipe or just point me to a website that has a good recipe, I’d appreciate it.
add some Beef Dashida – basically Korean MSG (though not nearly as headachey) – which I don’t believe websites will generally tell you. Also, before you cook the beef wash it. In that I mean douse it in some water and drain it/squeeze – not too much though cuz you don’t want mush for dinner….

My favorite wine only 10 a bottle, and @ 13.4%
Some of the best you will find coming out of California’s wine country.
Mine is Black Opal. An Australian wine. I would recommend the 2005 Shiraz. Its delicious. You can get it between 7 to 10 dollars.
we need more pics of the bottle for each of these that way i can identify them better. i like wine (i think) but have no idea what is good or not aka i cant tell a good wine from a bad one
I’m still apeshit over the Ripasso I tried not too long ago.

Hello everyone! To introduce myself, my name is Jeff and I’m a sophomore student at Virginia Tech (or at least will be come the fall semester). I have been placed into a much larger dorm than I was last year and will have a kitchen in my building. I’m hoping to get a few nights in there to make some dinner for myself/friends (it’s a co-ed dorm… i need something to put me infront of all the other guys ^.^).
So i was wondering if any of you guys have some really basic/simple recipes that I can use in college besides Ramen or Cup-o-Soup microwavables. I think it would be fun to experiment with some new food… especially if I can make it.

I want to learn to cook, and I want to learn to love it. Right now, the state of affairs looks like this:
- I can make pasta (premade sauce ), rice and vegetarian stir fry. That is all. I tried meat a few times but it always comes out tough and stringy.
- I currently find cooking boring and a waste of my time, which I’m sure isn’t helping things.
I think the only reason my weight hasn’t soared is because I tend to avoid classic junk food (soda, candy bars, chips, etc) and would rather not eat than expend the effort. Obviously that last bit is some flawed thinking. I’m reasonably bright and creative in other areas, so I’m sure I can learn to cook and love it. I think I need a kick in the right direction.

Are these any good? Anything better in their price range? Gotta stock the new kitchen this weekend and these are looking to be a good option.
Love my set I got from Target, just get some Calphalon cooking utensils to go along with then.
I ended up getting a 12 piece set. Bed Bath & Beyond had a special going, spend over 300 and get a $50.00 gift card, spend over $400.00 and get another calphalon pot. I’m very happy with mine so far. A little disappointed they’re not dishwasher safe but it’s a small price to pay.

I went to bevmo to pick up some Blue Curacao and saw many different brands. I was wondering which ones are good and which ones should I stay away from.
They’re all sugar water and blue food coloring with a smidge of alcohol.
BOLS and DeKuyper are good -
you could also add a drop of blue food coloring into a smaller bottle of triple sec and save the rest for margaritas
