Powdered catechu?

0

Anyone know where I can get some? The only online source I’ve found will be out of stock til January, and locally I’ve had zero luck.

Any ideas?

And if anyone is curious, I need it because I’m going to attempt to make my own bitters.

Wall Clock

0

I am looking for an open faced, large clock to put on my living room wall, that looks similar to the image. By open face I mean, no border or frame.

If you can find something like this I would appreciate it.

^ This one is much larger, though I’m not sure it’s the style your looking for.
Thanks for the help. I decided to go with this

Dusty Room v.cheap solutions?

0

Hey guys
My room seems to get dusty very quickly, fast enough that I see it floating around and collecting on desks in a matter of 2-3 days. I find myself vacuuming 2-3 times a week.

Is there any way I can make the air cleaner in my room? Will an air purifier do a good job of this or is there something else I could invest in?

thanks
is it just your room or the whole house? what type off heating do you have?
An air purifier/filter will help. If you have carpet, getting rid of it will help even more.

dorm smell

0

A few weeks after I moved my dorm a smell started to develop that smelled like rotten chicken. The smell has gotten worse and has seemed to morph into just a gross, musty, rotten smell. My roommate and I cant figure out where it is coming from. Ive cleaned and the refridgerator, replaced the A/C filter, replaced the trash cans, and sniffed just about everything. Any ideas?

maybe it’s coming from next door? the first door in my hall had these two guys that smelled like the bathroom, but thankfully we lived at the end of the hall. god i’m glad i’m not there anymore.

Where to buy standing rib roast? Recipes appreciated as well.

0

It’s a little far ahead, but my sister and I were talking about Christmas dinner and I brought up the idea of possibly making prime rib.

Now the supermarkets around me don’t really sell a big rack like they serve at nice prime rib restaurants, where can I go to buy a whole rack? Also, how much are we talking about for 7 (which I think is the most?) ribs?

Also, have any of you prepared it before? What are some things we should know, tips, etc.

Thanks!
bone in prime rib? its good for presentation but its a lot easier to make a boneless prime rib imho (which has a different name, beef ribeye. same cut but without the bone). try your local meat markets for that kind of specialty cut. even the supermarkets might have it if you inquire at the meat departments. and if they dont have it, they can get it.

Why does my drain on my shower smell?

0

I’ve started to notice my bathroom has an oder and couldn’t figure it out. I cleaned it up and down, bleached the shower too.

Now I have noticed the oder is coming back and have narrowed it down to my drain in my shower. I don’t really know how to explain the smell. Is there something I can dump down the drain to cure this?
probably clogged with hair… my sink gets the same way with my wifes hair… Home Depot sells a product called something like "Heavy Duty hair and grease remover" or something like that… its in a red bottle, and it works great… definately NOT draino or anything like that, those never seem to work.

laminate flooring install

0

It’s up to you. That is the answer.

I would go no glue. That is my advice.
normally I’d go with no glue as well, but I’m laying it down in the kitchen. So there is a chance that it may get wet, and water might make it way through the cracks.
No glue. You will want to rip it out in the future. Make it easier on yourself.
Glue is not a sealant. It will not prevent water intrusion. Choose a product which is rated for installation in a kitchen, and try to avoid bathing large dogs in the midst.
