Whats the best meal, which is a balanced one with all the required nutritional stuffs, which is cheap and which u can eat on a daily basis. Oh and which can last for 1 week.
Am in uni and am trying to save on money on eating – instead of eating mc dos everyday(or in any other fast food). I also suck at cooking.
Cheers.
Learning to cook is perhaps the most important skill anyone can learn. Don’t be afraid of it. The more you do it the better at it you will get. Here are a couple of suggestions and some general advice.

I want to, but I’m pretty scared to try it. Any feedback / advice?
get a book or go to one of those homedepot/lowes free seminars. i would say to start with a smaller area first before you go ahead and try to tackle something real big
It’s not rocket science. It’s important to get help at first to make sure you have everything covered, after that it’s rinse and repeat.
I did it about a year ago in our house. Three rooms I installed oak floors to myself.
They were the glue-down type. Floating is definitely easier, go that way if possible.

took a pork loin roast and cooked it all day in the crock pot with a packet of chi chi’s mexican seasoning. when done i shredded it and added two cans of mild diced green chiles and a handful of green onions, put it into flour tortillas with mild chedder shreds, folded the sides in and rolled them up, then secured with a tooth pick and deep fried at 350 for three or four minutes. topped them with mild green enchilada sauce (canned ) and sour cream. FANTASTIC!! absolutely loved them, even my 15 yr old who wouldn’t touch an onion for $50.

These are two I found today.
1 1/2 HP Ryobi router. It works well and is in good condition $30
Older Craftsman benchtop router table $50
I want to make doors for my aquarium stand. So I want to make a cut in the middle of my wood to put in wood inserts.
I would also like to round the edge of the wood of the door.
I’m hoping you don’t need top end gear to accomplish this (unlike a table saw, I’m told you need a $500+ model to do anything worth while.)

all my kitchen knives suck and cutting chicken fat with any of the farberware knives i have is more of a hassle than it’s worth
can someone recommend me 1 really sharp/good knife for cutting chicken fat/steak fat/etc
under $50 hopefully…also would be nice if it could stay sharp for awhile
this will pretty much purely be for cutting fat off of raw meat – if there is something out that there won’t need to be sharpened very often, i am willing to raise my price limit, but right now my farberware’s and steak knives aren’t able to cut the fat off of regular chicken without a bit of a fight

I’ve just recently moved into a house at school. It’s divided into three apartments and my roommates and I have the top two floors. It came with pretty shitty furniture and it looks exactly the same as it did when I first moved in. I don’ want to invest in it too much because im positive that I will be moving out to another place next year, but I would still like to make it feel more of home. What other places can I get cheap furniture and lighting instead of Ikea?
I’m more fixated on the lighting than anything else. Michigan will soon become ass cold and I will be spending lots of time indoors, so might as well make it as comfortable as possible.

A couple of years ago, after a once-in-a-lifetime dinner, I decided I really wanted to learn wine. After stubling around in the dark, I decided to invest the time and effort to do it correctly; there was no way I was going to understand what makes wine special by randomly picking bottles off the supermarket shelf. I sketched out a rough plan (listed below, and modified heavily since) that would take me through the basics of the red wine world.
Two and a half years into it, and I’ve had some real eye-opening moments. I’m no closer now to finding a common denominator to the wines I like — and thus being able to predict whether I will like an untasted wine — than when I began. I’ve been taking meticulous notes and have several favorites, but with one or two exceptions I haven’t had the same wine twice.

My fiancee and I have been house hunting, we found one has that we liked, its perfect except for the basement is not finished. The price is right though, so Im wondering how much it would cost to finish the basement? Right now there is a finished bedroom there, but the rest of the basement ~8-900 sq. feet would need walls framed, electricity ran, and of course a sheetrock and a ceiling installed. Im pretty sure that if we had someone frame the walls/run the electrical i could hang the drywall and put in the electrical outlets/etc. Basically I guess, I’d like to know the cost of framing all the walls and running the wiring. Im hoping it can be done for under ~10,000
