friend of mine has done several favors for my family and i’d like to take care of him. I know that "scotch has a special place in his heart". what’s the best i can get him somewhere around $100 or less?
You have a lot of options within that price range, do you happen to know if he likes a certain region or if he prefers single malts or blends?
Ardbeg 10 Year Old Single Malt or Uigeadail, Laphroaig Quarter Cask, Talisker Scotch 10 Year, and Oban Scotch 14 Year are all great single malt scotches and well within your price range (Uigadail could be higher then 100 with tax but its worth it).

How do I know if a wall is a load bearing wall? I have a wall that splits the family room from the kitchen. I have been thinking about tearing it down to open up the kitchen some bit.
How do I find out if the wall is ok to remove it or not?
take it out and see what happens?
check down in the basement directly under that wall. If there is a wall or a beam or a jack post directly underneath it, then it is more than likely a load bearing wall.
Load bearing walls are usually down the center, or near the center of the house, running the length of the house, perpendicular to the floor joists/rafters.

Palahniuk’s audacious ninth novel tells the story of Cassie Wright, an aging porn queen who intends to put an exclamation point on her career by having sex with 600 men in one day on film. The story begins with Mr. 600—the pornosaur who introduced Cassie to the business—as he describes the other 599 actors awaiting their moment on screen. The perspective then shifts to Mr. 72, an adopted Midwestern 20-something who is one of the many young men claiming to be Cassie’s long-lost son. Mr. 137, a has-been television star hoping to revive his career, wants to ask Cassie’s hand in marriage so that the two can star in a reality TV show. But for a novel centered around a gargantuan gangbang, there’s surprisingly little action; the small amount of narrative movement takes place backstage, where the characters attempt to get a sense of one another while waiting for their number to be called.

My a/c unit is kinda humming but the fan blades aren’t spinning. Anyone ever experience this before? I’m leaning towards it being the fan motor. I gotta call to get someone out but i’d like to research this as much as possible first.
Danke.
is this a window unit? if so its probably cheaper to get a new one than pay someone to repair the old one
The humming is the compressor pump. If the fan isn’t spinning, see if it starts spinning if you flick the blades. If it does, just keep the fan set to ON at the thermostat until you can get it fixed, otherwise you’ll need to call the HVAC monkeys in the morning.
